Integrating smart and light electric vehicles (LEV), recharging infrastructure, smart electric grid, and mobility-on-demand through urban-scale electronic ‘nervous system’ provides foundation for creating a smart sustainable city. These cities achieve high standard levels of transportation in terms of operational quality, energy efficiency and carbon minimization and thus represent a future of high-quality urban living.

Ljubljana, April 30th 2020 – Shortly before the closure of schools and companies due to the spread of coronavirus, students of the Waldorf Gymnasium in Ljubljana, in collaboration with GEM motors, successfully tested Eltrak, an electric snowmobile, designed for the preparation and grooming of cross-country ski tracks. This is a demanding and complex project, which goes beyond the size and complexity of regular school projects.

Slovenian company GEM motors contribute their innovative solution to the development of one of the most advanced urban e-mobility projects in Europe. GEM motors developed a unique propulsion solution for the pioneering Bicar project.
