GEM IN-WHEEL DRIVE

GEM in-wheel drive represents one of the most advanced propulsion system for urban electric vehicle applications, using patented modular multiphase GEM technology. It is suitable for electric two, three and four wheeler applications and robotic vehicles due to modular mounting options and different speed versions. Fully integrated drive operates in a safe low voltage regime using air cooling system. Innovative modular design allows development of a complete product porfolio at power level from 1 kW to 15 kW and can be further customized to special requiremetns.

The GEM in-wheel drive solution introduces some significant advantages compared to the central motor with transmission, which is a rather heavy and complex propulsion system. GEM in-wheel drive offers an optimized direct-drive propuslion with high torque and increased overall efficiency. It is in line with future trends of highly integrated propulsion solutions positioned close to the wheel thus reducing overall weight, space and complexity (i.e. number of parts).
